What Does Swollen Testicle With Pain After Hernia Repair Surgery Suggest?

I had hernia repair done on the 18th of May after my testicles were swollen and the left hurt. I asked the Dr. who performed the surgery if it could be strangulated and he said no and would not perform any test. 10 days later I had surgery to remove my left testicle due to torsion. I can still feel a mass in the left scrotal area is there a reason for this? Ron Cooksey

there could be a possibility of recurrent of hernia post surgery or local collection of fluid also one possibility. to find if it is a recurrence of hernia feel the swelling and cough if you can fell any expansion or enlarging or impulse on coughing then possible it may be hernia. an ultra sonogram will be needed to confirm the nature of the swelling though.
