Hello,

If there is swelling in the foot ankle, we would like to examine if there is any pitting type of edema present or not. If it's in both legs, it would go for other problems like cardiac. Since yours is unilateral swelling blood circulation might have hampered due to some reason. The exercise of the limb advised. If there are redness and erythema, then we would think of infective causes and treat you with antibiotics. Take rest, and it will subside within two days.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Archana
