What Does Swelling In Knee And Pain While Walking Indicate?
My knee swells up and hurts to walk on it, sometimes it hurts to bend or straighten it. The pain is more towards the back of my knee (kind of feels like something heavy is pulling on something), but there is also pain on the sides. The swelling is an everyday thing. What does this means?

Hi Thank you for asking HCM I have gone through your query.Your condition is most likely a meniscal injury. But associated ligament injury also can be present. A physical examination with an orthopedician can get the signs of that which can be confirmed by a MRI examination of knee. It can be treated by immobilization analgesics and quadriceps strengthening exercise after that. But if no relief in two weeks a diagnostic arthroscopy should be carried out. A meniscal injury or ligament injury can be clearly visualized and repair can be done through that.Hope this may help you. Let me know if you have any further query.
