What Does Subchondral Fracture Of Tibial Plateau Suggest On MRI?

My 9 year old daughter had a mri on Thursday and we received the report but haven't been contacted by the orthopedic dr as of yet. the report indicates that there is a transchondral injury/subtle subchondral fracture of the anterolateral tibial plateau with moderate surrounding marrow edema. The subchondral fracture line does not appear to extend through the cortex. Should she be staying off of her leg because she is very active and hard to make sit still. She has been walking around and not experiencing any pain. I just want to make sure she is not doing any damage by not being sedative.
