My grandmother was recently having an X-ray due to bronchial infiection. While looking over the xrays, they noticed a spot/lump on her heart. Of course she is not going to give all the details, but she is suppose to go back in six months for them to do more testing.
It is important to know if the doctors are suspecting anything wrong with the lungs or the heart. If they have told to come after six months then most likely its not an emergency condition and probably not related to the bronchial infection. There are certain conditions involving the heart and aorta which may require a follow up imaging after few months. This might also be due to advancing age or increase in diameter of the aorta and to differentiate it from a pathological condition like aortic aneurysmal dilatation.
