What Does 'somewhat In Homogeneous Pancreas' Mean In Ultrasound?

Hi, my ultrasound came back with 'somewhat inhomogeneous pancreas'. What could this possibly indicate, as my doctor did not recommend any additional follow ups at this point. Blood work came back normal but amylase & lipase were not part of the checks.

Hello

Inhomogeneous pancreas may indicate pancreatitis etc .It may be non specific findings also.
It is important to know more details of pancreas like its size, surrounding fluid is present or not.
This condition need clinical correlation and serum amylase, lipase can be estimated.
You may need contrast CT scan of abdomen.

Treatment depend upon findings.

Take Care
