What Does Sharp Pain In The Knees Indicate?

I had Total knee replacement 16 month agoand after 4months began developing constant pain over the kneecap under the knee(patellar tend and the medial side of the knee. Pain is burning under and on top of knee and aching sometimes sharp pain on the inside. I was told it could be nerve pain and they are looking to do a series of intrapatellar sachroneous nerve blocks along with the overall sachroneous nerve your thoughts?
