What Does Severe Weakness In The Arms Indicate?

I have intermittent waves of extreme weakness in both arms equally that last about a minute. When it happens I can feel it from my neck down both arms. It is alarming, since it is an entirely new symptom. Can happen twice in one day or a week or two apart. Thank you.

Hello,

You are getting confused with the symptom. Maybe you have numbness or tingling pain in these areas? I do not understand what exactly weakness means. If it is what I am thinking then probably it is the neural origin. If I am wrong, then let me know your history again.

For nerve origin pains you can take vitamin B12 tablets which strengthen the nerves and help in the healing process. You better get an MRI upper body done to know if there is any tumor or something compressing on any nerve which could be the etiology.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Archana
