What Does Severe Pain In The Lower Back And Groin Are Indicate?

I have been experiencing intense lower back pain and groin pain for a little more than two weeks now. especially just before I wake in the morning before I first go to bathroom. No trouble urinating, but going frequently. Can t stand during day for more than 5 or so minutes due to back pain and groin pain! I suffer from PKD and have had kidney stones before and this doesn t feel the same. been to Nephrologist, he says blood work OK and kidney scans no change. ???????

dear user

thanks for contact HCM

brief answer

it may be due to urinary tract infection or lumber spine problems

detailed answer

first you should do urine culture test to role out any renal infection as it may be first cause and second if kidney is normal you should refer to orthopedic or vertebral column doctor as there may be some inflammation or compression around vertebral spine (lumber or sacral) that will cause this pain and try to avoid severe excercise and lifting heavy weights untill recovery

wish you healthy life
