Hi,I am Dr. Andrew Rynne (Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I think I may have a pinched nerve. 6 weeks ago I slipped on my downstairs stairs. My tailbone area was extremely sore. Couldn't walk very well a couple weeks, I use a pad everywhere I went to sit on.. Last Saturday I played with my grandson on the floor and the next day went to my fathers home. I sat on a non padded chair for about 3 hours, The next day I could not walk. extreme sharp pains shooting down my legs to my knees, A lot of pain in my buttocks. This went on for 6 days and still is very uncomfortable. I've used a heating pad several days .. and seems to help. What do you think ?

What Does Severe Pain In The Legs Indicate?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. I suggest you to take T.Hifenac D BD(twice a day after food) for 3 days. I also suggest you few things for pain relief 1. Sit straight with your legs straight and keep a small stool where you can rest your legs 2. Don t sit for long duration. If symptoms persist take a X-ray of hip and leg and consult an orthopedics for further treatment. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
