What Does Salmonella Levels In My Below Widal Test Report Infer?

hi my daughter age is 9yrs.she done widal test salmonella typhi o is 1:80 dils salmonella typhi-H- 1:80AH1:20 BH1:20 please advice me

Hello, Thanks for using Healthcaremagic. your query on widal test needs explanation. if you have done to find the cause of fever,widal test has to be done after 5 days of fever before that it may not become positive.
just by seeing this report 1:80 dilution we cannot say it is positive or negative.if suspicion is high treat it as salmonella and repeat titer after 5 days, rising titer is suggestive of typhoid.
titer of 1:320 even one value will be suggestive of typhoid.if you have lab facilities go for blood culture for definitive diagnosis as it provides the diagnosis and also drug susceptibility.
