What Does "focal Signal Alternation At Cortical Frontal Region" On MRI Brain Suggest?

since i am 15 old i had a headache and vomiting every 3-4 months and i become tired the same day and now that have developed since last year i became unable to breathe during an attack and sometimes hit the loss of consciousness for 1-2 minutes so that I was transferred to hospital before 1 week and the doctor ask me to do an MRI and EEG (that was good for the EGG) i am now 29 years old this is my Routine MRI sequences obtained of brain : tiny focal signal alternation noted at cortical left frontal region measures about 5*2mm of non-specific appearance and my doctor give another appointement in 3 months to do another MRI so the doctor told me i have an Epileptic attacks

i would like to if that can be a brain tumor or not??

I read your question carefully and I understand your concern.

First of all let me start by saying that it is for sure not a case of a brain tumor. The origin of that tiny signal change at times can be difficult to determine, could be an event in the past like an old infection, stroke, born malformation.

It certainly is not threatening though. It is not the cause of your headaches either, the headaches probably are in the setting of a migraine.

As for the episode of the loss of consciousness those could be epileptic seizures and such change in MRI could be related to them. However the diagnosis of epilepsy is based on the description of the event and the changes on EEG, it is not a diagnosis made with MRI.
