I AM 33 WEEKS 2 DAYS PREGNANT . MY USG FETAL WELL BEING SHOWS LT UTERINE ARTERY SHOWS NOTCHING .... WHAT DOES IT MEAN .... I HAVE BEEN ADVISED BY MY DOCTOR TO TAKE DEPIN 5 MG FOR TWO WEEKS....IS THIS MEDICINE HAS GOT ANY SIDE EFFECT ON BABY ... PLS. EXPLAIN.....

Bilateral uterine notching between 23-25 weeks of gestation is an independent risk factor for the development of early-onset preeclampsia and gestational hypertension. Thus, bilateral uterine artery notching should be considered in the assessment of risk for the development of these pregnancy complications. Only left uterine artery notching shows lesser risk of any abnormal events and you may continue to take medications and relax.
