What Does Prolonged Bleeding After Taking Mifegest Kit Indicate?

My wife took the mefigest kit as directed by the physician I.e 1tablet in the evening,2 tablet in the next evening and the other 2 tablets in the other next morning.she had a heavy bleeding for 5-6 hours and after that she is continue with the little bleeding for 1 week and its not stop yet. Is there any problem with that? Will it effect the future pregnancy?.. Plz...I want to know.

I understand your concern
Normally bleeding will stop 4-5 days after using mifegesr kit.
Prolonged bleeding for 1 week after using Mifegest kit is not normal.
Prolonged bleeding could be due to incomplete abortion, inadequate dose and improper use.
I would suggest to consult the gynecologist and undergo vaginal examination and USG scan to know status of abortion.
Incomplete abortion require extra dose of misoprostol under the advise of the gynecologist or by D & C.
Take proper rest, maintain proper pelvic hygiene, eat healthy diet with iron supplements, drink plenty of water.
