What Does Presence Of Blood In Semen Indicate?

When my husband and I have sex, his semen has blood in it. Pink colored. Not stringy or anything like that. He is 62 yrs old, and I am concerned for his health. I have begged him to have a prostrate exam but he won't. Can you assist me with possible answer to this?

1. blood in semen [hematospermia] can occur at any age after puberty, but considering his age, the most common cause of the same is BPH [benign prostate hypertrophy], so general surgeon examination with ultrasound guided biopsy will be the best option [to exclude prostate cancer] to be considered and the same should be told to your husband since if the problem is there then it can be rectified depending upon the stage.
