Hi, I am a longtime asthma patient . Had a chest X-ray , results were mild Fibrotic changes in the upper lobes more prominently on the right . Pleural thickening is seen in the right apex laterally. Emergency room said all was fine . Should I be worried Thank you :)

Welcome to health care magic.

1.Fibrosis is the term used as a old healed infection infection.
2.Even pleural thickening is seen after any infection - the location is most common for tuberculosis.
3.If you had any pervious tuberculosis infection its post treatment trace, of not then some pneumonic infection.
4.In this case no active treatment is given, unless symptomatic.
5.You do not have to worry about this, but keep monitoring in the further x-rays.

Good luck.
Hope i have answered your query,
any thing to ask ? do not hesitate to ask.
