What Does Painful Hole On The Bottom Of Gums Under A Tooth Suggest?

Ok. I have a small hole on the bottom of my gums under a tooth. It s not directly on the tooth,it s under the tooth. It is painful when I touch, move, or mess with the hole. It s been there for about 3-4 day s. I m going to go to my doctor but I would like to know some things I can do to temporarily get rid of the pain. PS: I m a teen and sometimes I don t brush my teeth like I should, and I rarely floss. Please respond back quickly. Thank you

Any swelling which is persistent and relates to pain can be considered an infection. Do not try to do any self remedies with the swelling. Just take normal painkillers until you show it to a doctor.
