What Does Pain In The Neck, Shoulders And Right Arm Indicate?

I am having neck shoulder and right arm pain with headaches. I take 150mg of topamax a day. I also experience numbness and tingling sensations in my arm. Today while I was walking the tingling sensation in my arm was strong and my fingertips were bluish as was my hand. I kept my hand on my chest until I got home and it became pink again and has stayed pink. I have a neuro evaluation schedualed for Thursday.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I passed carefully through your question and would explain that your symptoms could be related to different possible disorders: a bulging disc in the cervical vertebral column or an arterial stenosis in the arm. For this reason, I would recommend performing first a Doppler ultrasound of the arm arteries and veins. The next step would be consulting with a neurologist and performing a cervical spine MRI study.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
