What Does Pain In The Legs Indicate?

I ve being having pain in both of my legs for the last two weeks. I don t know if this is the result of my work outs of what, but I m a person that works out almost everyday and I usually get pain in my legs if I work very hard but normally go away after a day or two or after I workout again, but this time the pain is not going away. I have been taking over the counter medication for pain but only help for a couple of hours. What do you think this can be besides old age? I m 67 years old. My name is Gracie

Hello! Welcome to HealthcareMagic!

Gracie, this pain in the leg, is a debilitating problem especially if it interferes with your routine. First thing check out your Diabetes status. Look out for any swelling on the ankles or the calves. Most commonly, it could be a muscle injury as you do regular work-outs, in which case there will be local area of tenderness not a generalized pain in the legs. Also a check on your back for any hairline fracture of the spine as osteoporosis also needs consideration. Must check with a GP for a detailed physical and labs.

Hope this clarifies your concerns. Thank you for the query.

Take care

Regards,
