Hi, I am 6 weeks post-op from acl reconstruction and medial meniscectomy. I ve started to walk with one crutch and practicing with no crutches. But I have pain on the top of my foot. It s there when I try to walk or wiggle my toes when I am not walking. Any idea what is causing this?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
It maybe due to some extra stress on your foot as you started walking recently. There could be atrophy of your leg muscles too. Try to get proper walking posture and mechanics. Take lot calcium and protein diet like milk, eggs, meat, nuts and pulses. Take proper rest. Do not panic. It should relieve in a few days.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
