Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am very physical and have been experiencing challenges with my right leg. Previous acl reconstructions to my right knee make me cautious about aches and pains to my right leg. In the past 3 months, I have had reoccurring issues with comfortably extending my leg fully. Pain is present behind the knee but it feels more like a pull slightly below and above the actual knee. I have been treating it like a hamstring pull but it has not improved ...much How would you recommend proceeding
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advise.
Did you got advice after acl reconstruction not to have vigourous activity of knee? Knee joint ligaments are most vulnerable to get injured while sports activities or exercises.
My advice is to have CT scan of knee joint to know if further damage is there in acl or other ligaments. But before that get examined by ortho doctor who had done reconstruction surgery.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards Dr. Hiren
