What Does Pain Around The Kidney Area Indicate?

Can protein (1+ ) , show up in urine examination test, and then be absent in another two urine examination tests done a couple of days later. Pus cells (3-4), (4-5), & (4-5) did show up in all three tests. I have mild pain in kidney area for the last 10 days. I am 55 year old / male Please advice.

The protein has been positive due to urine infection that is why it does not appear in every sample. It should be pyelonephritis as you have pain in kidney region and needs antibiotic treatment.
