What Does Pain Around Incision Site After ACL Repair Mean?

Almost two years ago I had an ACL repair using my patellar, now I m experiencing pain around one of the incision sites, there is actually a hard lump near one of the incision sites and it is painful and sore to the touch. I m experiencing problems with walking and bending the knee, i experience pain when bending the knee backwards almost as if the skin is pulling. Im walking with a limp because I m unable to walk correctly. My knee actually buckled at one point. I m really concerned

It can be failure of your ACL surgery. I would suggest you to meet a sports medicine specialist and get your repeat MRI of the knee joint. If that MRI shows that there is ACL rupture then you need to get a revision surgery. Some time there can be infection in the knee joint and it requires debridement of knee,it can be done arthroscopicaly.
Least common cause of such complication is that your ligament get stretched out and it may cause buckling of the knee joint.In that condition you will need to get a revision knee surgery.
