What Does Pain And Pressure In Lower Head Mean?

I keep getting stabbing pains in the back of my lower head and it feels like there Is a huge pressure and my head will explode. this has happened three times in the last week to me. the first time I was very distort and crying, the second time I just bent down and it hit, third time was during sexual stimulation with my partner. it comes on instantly and then after a few minutes of pain it starts to go away again, then I am left with a head ache. Should I be concerned with this and go to the doctor?

You may have a disorder known as TRIGEMINAL AUTONOMIC CEPHALGIA and more specifically, COITAL or ORGASMIC HEADACHES. There actually is a specific treatment available for these type of headaches around the concept of whether or not the headaches respond to a drug called indomethacin or not. However, it is also necessary to make sure there are no pathological or structures abnormalities going on in the blood vessels of the neck or the brain. Therefore, in my opinion I believe a visit with a KNOWLEDGEABLE headache specialist would be your best bet who is able and willing to do such a workup. If you were in my clinic I'd be starting you on filling out and keeping track of your headaches using a LOGGING or DIARY system of which there are many available both for smart phone use as well as on paper if that's your preference. That way the doctor can actually analyze something that you've kept track of as opposed to your trying to remember the details. You could have 2 different headaches afoot at once and therefore, the utility of the log is even greater in such a situation.
