What Does Orange Colour And Soreness In Throat After Helium Inhalation Indicate?

I was at a friend s and we were inhaling helium from her balloons. I inhaled a bunch and my throat has been sore now for three days. It feels as if it is getting worse and it has an orange color to the roof of my mouth. Could this be permanent damage or just give it a few weeks to heal?

Hello & welcome to HealthcareMagic forum.

As per your clinical history it appears that you are having superficial damage to mucosa of throat.

This will within 10 days .

If I were your treating doctor, I would advice you
Antiseptic chlorhexidine Mouth Wash twice daily ,Plenty of fluids to prevent infection &
Tab Vitamin C twice daily to promote healing.

Hope this information helpful to you .If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
