General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
I understand your concern.
Your USG states -
Normal sized uterus , being place in pelvic cavity with forward bending of body of uterus ( a normal position )
Endometrium ( inner layer of uterine cavity ) is thin that indicates first half of menstrual cycle.. when endometrium gets built up . If your USG was taken in first 14- 15 days of menstrual cycle , this reading is normal.
There were no other abnormalities noted in uterus.
YOUR both ovaries are volumes are on greater side of normal because they have many immature follicles in each ovary This suggests PCOD.. which indicates hormonal imbalance & irregular periods due to problem in ovulation.
The cervix & surrounding part of vagina are normal ( without any bartholin's cysts.)
The space behind uterus ( cul de sac ) is empty.. which indicates absence of ovulation/ infection.
* Over all reading suggests PCOD .. a condition which needs investigations & specific management to regulate ovulation & normal period. You need not worry. Consult a gynecologist, get examined & investigated To start taking medication advised. PCOD is a problem very common in today's life style. & it can be treated well with self care/ medicines / surgery as per need.
thanks.
