What Does Neural Foraminal Stenosis In Ct Scan Result Suggest?

What is the typical treatment if a EMG/ct scan results in degernative chages in general, but specifically an abutment of the cord by prominent spondylotic ridge with flattening ot the anterior aspect of the cord and bilateral neural foraminal stenosis at c4 c5 and c5 c6 broad based disc bulge sresulting in the effacement of the thecal sac. with bilateral neural foaminal narrowing as well as a spondylotic ridge resulting in effacemetn of the thecal sac at c6-c7 which also states there is bilateral neural foraminal stenosis. There is an abutment and mild flattening at t11 and t12 . with degenrative changes inclding disc space narrowing and broad based disc bulge associated with ligamentous and facet hypertropy. the findings are more prominent at l3-l4 and L4-L5 resulting in triangularization of the thecal sac and central canal stenosis L5-S1 has right sided neural foraminal narrowing due to facet hypertrophy

welcome to Health care magic.
1.The findings suggest degenerative changes which causing reduced disc height - loss of hydration due to degenerative changes at different levels C4-5,C5-6.
2.There is indenting on the theca sac - the spinal chord cervical region C6-7 and at level of L5-S1.
3.Bilateral nerve which pass through the foramen in the vertebrae has been compressed due to degenerative changes at T11-12.
4.And different degenerative changes like disc space narrowing, joint inflammatory changes have been noted.
5.May be the present study performed in emergency - better investigation of choice in spine study is MRI ( i would suggest to get it done if possible).
6.The treatment is exercise initially followed by physiotherapy and finally operative / interventional procedure.
Hope it helps you. Wish you a good health.
