What Does Neck & Spine Pain With Coughing Suggest?

My brother was cleaning a backyard and he picked up a plastic bag and shook liquid off of it. A little splashed on his face and lips. He said it smelled like urine and left a bad taste on his lip. Now he is having needle like pain on both sides of the top of his neck and spine. Lungs feel like they are on fire and coughing a little. This happened a week ago. Could this be TB or Plersacy?

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
No, this can not be due to tb or pleurisy.
TB is not caused by this. It is caused by tubercular bacteria.
Same way pleurisy is caused by lung infection and this can not cause lung infection.
In my opinion, he is having allergic reaction to that liquid which is causing all the symptoms.
So better to to give him combination of anti allergic (montelukast) and anti histamine (levocetrizine or fexofenadine) once a day fir 7 days.
He will mostly recover with these.
He is definitely not having tuberculosis or pleurisy.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wishing good health to your brother. Thanks.
