What Does My Ultrasound Test Report Indicate?
Recent ultrasound found the following: Rt. kidney 13.3 x 5.8 x5.2 cm; Lt. kidney 11.5 x 5.2 x 5.8 cm; contour of both normal; mild pelviectasis in Rt.; 3.2 cm cyst in Lt.; urinary bladder normal; bilateral ureteral jets documented. Reasons for concern? Need of further treatment?

Hi,
Though presence of single cyst may not be cause of concern but very large cyst causing pressure symptoms may need urological or surgical intervention. Otherwise not a major cause of concerns, and urethral jets needs to be correlated clinically. Micturition studies may be needed to look for any signs of vesicoureteral reflux disease or recurrent infections etc. A urologist review is recommended.
