What Does My Ultrasound Scan Report Indicate?

Hi, I m 35 (3 vaginal deliveries with the last being 3 years ago) and just had an ultrasound with results that say abnormally thickened endometrium at 16mm (3 days after my period ended), small amount of free fluid in the pelvis without significant internal echoes . There is also a 2.4cm right ovarian cyst. My pap and blood work (checking thyroid) were both normal. Can you provide me with the possibilities of what this could mean?

Hello,

It indicates slight inflammation and the cyst might be causing it. So don't worry work with your doctor and you will be fine.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Harshita, Ophthalmologist
