What Does My Scan Result Indicate?

Doctor, my scan result shows a bulky uterus with AP diameter of 6.8cm. The echo pattern is largely homogenous. The myometrium is expanded by intramural solid tissue masses with mixed echo textures and AP diameters of (1) 1.8cm in the fundal war (2) 4.0cm in the mid posterior wall. Adnexae bilaterally free. Pouch of Douglas is normal. No free pelvic collection. No Cyst. No Cyesis or retained products of conception sighted

Hello, thanks for writing to HCM.
The ultrasound report findings are described briefly below-
- big uterus, with intramural masses.
- no masses in the adnexal regions (arising from tubes or ovaries) or fluid.
- no findings suggestive of a pregnancy.

Overall the only positive finding is the masses in the wall of the uterus (two mentioned), most common diganosis is fibroids.
Kindly get more details about the uterine cavity lining thickness as well.

You haven't mentioned anything about your age or symptoms.
So I would recommend you discuss management with your doctor based on your medical history.
If the uterine masses are not characterized on ultrasound, a TV ultrasound(if not done previously) or an MRI maybe helpful.
Hope I have helped you with your query.
Write in again if you have any doubts.
