I had an pelvic ultrasound test, and have just now read the test results online: "Heterogeneous myometrium without significant uterine enlargement may be secondary to prior adenomyosis; Atrophic endometrium"....English translation? :-) What does this mean? Thank you....
According to reports you have heterogeneous myometrium without significant uterine enlargement may be secondary to prior adenomyosis. Adenomyosis is a condition in which the inner lining of the uterus(endometrium) breaks through the muscle wall of the uterus ( myometrium). Adenomyosis is a common condition among middle-aged women. You need clinical correlation. Its treatment options are conservative or surgical depending upon various factors. You should consult your doctor. You also have atrophic endometrium,it is age related finding. Hope i have answered your query.
