Does below criteria affect the pregnancy.. standard range your range LIN Linearity      40 %      40      Low Normal      14 %      8      Low Kruger Strict Criteria 14% =potentially normal sperm 4-14% =questionably impaired sperm 4 % =severely impaired sperm

Hello and thanks for writing.

I can understand your concern and would try to help you in the best possible way. Kruger strict criteria is a scoring pattern for the morphology of sperms. A sample of 2000 sperms viewed under 1000X magnification is done and the percentage of normal forms are counted and reported.

The score is reported as:

1. >=15% normal: Normal range - Good prognosis

2. 5-14% normal: Sub optimal range - Prognosis is fair to good, however, the lower the percent normal, the lower the chance of successful fertilization

3. 0-4% normal: Poor prognosis - Will usually need IVF with intra-cytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI).

So if your score is above 15% you have normal sperm morphology and can conceive without IVF.
