Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, My doctor recently checked my EYE and given below power card. SPH CYL axis ADD Right 0 -1.75 90 0 LEFT 0 -2.25 90 0 I got surprised with seeing the zero value on SPH. Is it normal or its wrong observation by doctor. I read that in case of cylinder power, it extend only vertically. I got new glass with that power, its like slightly tilted or broader on upper side if seeing any rectangle object.
After reading your post, I would comment that the value of spherical can be 0. It means that you need only a cylindrical correction.
Eyes take some time to adjust the cylindrical one. Till then the surface of the objects may appear at different positions than normal.
Continue wearing your glasses and walk or drive with precautions until your eyes get used to it. This may take a few days. If the symptoms persist, contact your Ophthalmologist.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr R.A. Singh, Emergency Medicine Specialist
