What Does My Chest X Ray Mean?

I had a check up with a doctor due to my cough and pain just under my ribs. and had a chest x-ray, the findings Apicoplueral, thickening bilateral. Suspicious opacities. Apicolordotic view is suggested. Interstitial Pneumonia, both lower lung. So my doctor suggested that i have another xray for the apilocordotic view. And i had it and this are the findings. Consider PTB, both lower lung. Clinical correlation is suggested. Does this mean that I am positive of TB?

Hi,
Thanks for writing in.

If you have fever, respiratory discomfort and cough for few days to less than a month then you might be having a pneumonia, viral or bacterial, which needs to be treated with medications. If the fever and cough is unexplained and for more than two months with loss of weight and generalized weakness then you might be having PTB (pulmonary tuberculosis). You must consult your doctor and confirm the condition. Both the conditions are curable.
