What Does My Blood Test Report Indicate?

Hi Doc, Let me introduce myself as Deepak. I am 28 , 176 cm height & weigh 85 kg. I used to workout and take supplements. I was taking creatine supplement till last week and stopped it for a week since I need to take a blood test , a week later. I still take whey protein twice a day (35 grams , 2 times a day). I have done the check up and found that my SGPT level is slightly high (48 U/L). I am also having a vitamin D deficiency for which my doc has prescribed me a medicine. Regarding SGPT levels, my doctor has asked me to reduce weight slightly and have a check up again , after 1 month. Is there anything I have to particularity concentrate / take care? Does consuming whey protein isolate takes SGPT levels higher ?Kindly let me know your valuable advice.

Hello,

Your SGPT level is not much raised. A normal range is up to 42. Your value is 48, so mild raised. For your condition reduce weight and take green leafy vegetables more. Fatty foods should be restricted. Alcohol not taken more. Fatty liver also can lead to elevated SGPT. Repeat your SGPT, after few days of lifestyle modification and provide it to give more comment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Parth Goswami
