yes - my mother just got blood results back and I was just trying to see what are some thing that might possible be going on...she is going to be hearing from her Dr. by early next week , as Dr. is off for the next 3 days. The ones that look out of line with where they should be are WBC is 15.3 RBC is 3.19 HGB is 9.1 HCT is 28.9 PLT is 513 LY is 10.2 NE is 12.1 and MO is 1.4
Hello and welcome to HCM, The interpretation of blood report is as follows: The RBC count st 3.19 million per cubic millimeter is low. The hemoglobin at 9.1 gm% is low and hematocrit at 28.9% is also low. Thus, your mother is suffering from anemia. The cause of anemia appears to be low red blood cell count. However, red blood cell parameters - MCV, MCH and MCHC also need to be interpreted for more information. The white blood cell count of 15.3 thousand per cubic millimeter is increased. The differential leukocyte count (DLC) is incompletely posted. Please post the complete differential leukocyte count for more information. The platelet count at 513 lakh per cubic millimeter is slightly increased when compared to normal range.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja Puri
