What Does My CT Scan Report Indicate?

My daughter is 19 and we just had a ct scan done, a couple of days ago, that showed one ovary larger than the other. Just in the last 6 weeks, she has had bleeding every week, sometimes 5 days, sometimes 3, and this last one was 7 days. We are trying to get her into a gynecologist now. She is a college track athlete, but for 2 weeks now, she has developed a raspy cough, sore throat, thus why we took her to doctor. Antibiotics have not helped. The CT also showed a fungal infection in her lower left lobe of her lung. Could these two issues be related?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Is there a vaginal bleeding? If it is so then it is not to worry just check with a gynecologist and take some pills to regulate the menstruation cycle. I don't think ovary enlargement has to do with e fungal lung infection. But, she has to check the immunity level and do some tests because it is not usual in healthy immune people to have this kind of infection.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Klodian
