What Does Minimal Reticular Densities On A Chest X-ray Indicate?
Hi! I had chest xray 2 months ago which revealed clear and normal lungs. This month, I again had another one for pre employment medical requirement. The xray showed infiltrates, hence, repeat xray was done which revealed minimal reticular densities. What does this indicate? I feel perfectly fine, never had a cough or colds, fever or chest pain. I am a no smoker. Thank you.

1.The infiltrates in the chest x-ray suggest alveoli shows a fluid within - which is seen in the infective and inflammatory condition.
2.These collection after a treatment or self healed status leaves a trace of the recent infection.
3.This are looks like linear densities within the lung fields where the collections / infiltrates are seen.
4.They can be patchy opacities or diffuse, in any case if symptomatic treatment is required.
5.A course of antibiotic and a repeat x-ray if you want to confirm the findings and get a clear image for employment - if it repeats HRCT - high resolution computer tomography will be definitive.
