What Does Lipid Profile Result Which Shows Serum Triglycerides-100 Mg/dl Indicate?

i have recently got my lipid profle done , i did 9 hrs fasting , but 1 hr before going for the test i drank a glass of plain water .I am a male , My figures are :
Serum Tryglycerides : 100 mg/dl
HDl Cholestrol : 38.0 mg/dl
LDl Cholestrol : 193.8 mg/dl
VLDL : 20.0
My age is 40 yers

Hello

Findings indicate that triglyceride level is normal.Ideally triglyceride level should be below 150 mg/dl.
But your findings suggests raised serum LDL level.
It is important to know cholesterol level.
Other parameters like HDL and VLDL level are normal.

With these findings,I suggest diet and life style change to my patients.You should avoid fried and fatty food.
You should also increase your physical activity and take lot of fibers in your diet.

If findings persists then tablet atorvastatin 10 mg single dose at night after dinner can be taken.This will correct LDL level.
