What Does Light Brown Vaginal Discharge In A 53 Year Old Indicate?

Im 53 years old i havent had a period in 2 years,i have noticed few times or so in last few weeks like a light brown discharge like it would be when i was almost off my period can u tell me if it normal no pain or itch sex lol none in year just curious

The brown discharge is likely old blood, you may need to be seen for this if it continues.

This would be called post menopausal bleeding, bleeding that occurs after a women has been through menopause.
Though this can be due to benign causes, it can also be related to more serious causes that need to be ruled out.

In most cases an ultrasound and possibly a biopsy of the inner lining of the uterus, is done.
