What Does Joint Pain Along With Vomiting And Disorientation Indicate?

Hello. Otherwise a healthy, 62-yr old male. I do a hard boxing work-out 3-4 times/ week. This morning when I awoke I felt queezy but when on in to work. Continued to feel queezy but also my joints were all very sore. About 1pm I started to get heat flashes and feel disoriented. I went to the back and put my head down. Within 4-5 minutes threw up about 1 1/2 pints of yellowish liquid. Feeling 90% better a few hours later.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

It is possible that you had a mild viral infection. Viral infections of the gastrointestinal tract can improve within 24 to 36 hours in some persons. They would be associated with systemic symptoms such as the painful joints and disorientation. You can monitor and if symptoms recur or worsen then you may need to be seen.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Michelle Gibson James
