What Does Hypoechoic Region Near The Placenta Signify?

There is a hypoechoic region at the placenta near the cord insertion measuring 3.7 x 1.9 x1.4 centimeters which most likely represents an area of hemorrhage. What does this mean???? I went to the emergency today because my doctor could not find the heart beat of my 17 weeks and 3 days fetus. The heart beat was 151 bpm. Thank God but I don t understand by what could be wrong with my placenta. Please help!

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, if no heart activity seen then it may be miscarriage and better to ask with the doctor for this or get done the ultrasonography again for final confirmation hope this information helps.
