HI.

The facet joints are where the vertebrae in the spine interlock with each other and hypertrophy means bone growth within those joints--somewhat like arthritis of the spine.

Spinal canal stenosis means narrowing of the tunnel through which the spinal cord passes.

Foraminal stenosis means narrowing of the opening through which the nerve roots pass from the spinal cord
