General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

It can be mononucleosis. There's no specific therapy available to treat infectious mononucleosis. Antibiotics don't work against viral infections such as mono. Treatment mainly involves :

-bed rest
-good nutrition
-drinking plenty of fluids.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
