What Does High AST Levels Indicate?
for the past year i have slightly elevated ast levels (33-35, they were 48) and today the results of bloodtests show ast levels of 44 and eosinophils 8. for the past three weeks i have been experiencing a burning sensation in my stomach immediately following food intake of any kind.

AST is a liver enzymes. Transient alteration in its level is acceptable. A short course of liver tonics is advisable assuming that rest of the liver function tests are normal.
