What Does Extreme Pain Under The Ribcage While Sneezing Suggest?

When I sneeze with force I feel something under my left side of rib almost pop out with very severe pain its debilitating and I feel like something ruptured like large vessel but ober several minutes it slowly subsides. Can that be something herniating out when I sneeze and how do I get this diagnosed?

Hi.

It must be the force of the sneeze which applies pressure of the pleural cavity or even thr diaphragm. I would recommend trying to avoid sneezing with such a large amount of pressure if at all you can help it. If not then I recommend a visit to your doctor for a chest xray or even a possible CT scan of your chest for further evaluation into any abnormalities.

Best wishes.
