What Does Excessive Saliva Imply?

hi, i'm 24 years old and i would like to know how i can stop producing too much saliva. Every morning I immediately start producing too much saliva, it is very acidic, even if I spit i will automatically produce more. I've accidently swallowed it and I start getting really bad cramps. Why does this happen, and how can I stop it?

Hi...
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns...

As per your complain excessive saliva in morning that is what is acidic in nature can be due to acid reflux which would be occurring from night time and continuing in morning too..
As you might also be empty stomach in the morning and the acid being produces in stomach is not getting used to digest the food it might be refluxing in your throat and mouth causing stimulation of salivary glands and causing hypersalivation..
You should consult a Gstroenterologist and he can do a torough clinical evaluation and for acid reflux he can advise you to take Proton pump inhibitors like Omeprazole, antacids like Milk of magnesia and avoiding spicg and acidic foods and also junk foods..
Drink plenty of water, sleep with head slightly elevated as compared to legs and recline in left lateral position..
Do moderate workout daily..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
