My cholerterol level is 271 and ldl 173 and hdl is 62 triglicerides 141. Sgot is 30 and sgpt 72 and ggtp 75. Rest all is normal. Would like to know reason for elevated result and how to bring it down. Also i was on atacor 5mg and have stopped it about 2 months ago
hello,I have gone through your query. Thanks for using HCM. your cholesterol and LDL cholesterol are both high.you need to follow healthy life style and follow fat restricted diet.I would like to know whether you consume alcohol ? because elevated liver enzyme may be due to alcohol. It may be also be result of Atocor affecting liver. In any case you do need statin. You may start pitavastatin 1 mg in place of atocor.and repeat lipids and liver enzyme after 4 weeks. I would be glad to guide you further once i get your feed back My best wishes Dr.Rajesh Teli,MD
