What Does Discoloration On The Buttocks Suggest?

I have noticed recently that I am having discoloration in-between my butt cheeks. I have started working out a lot recently and I am unsure if that has anything to do with it. Its almost a grayish green color and resembles a bruise. I am a caucasian 26 year old woman. I am pretty hygenic and I try and stay away from weird moisturizers. what can I do to help this?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to buttock contusion. Contusions can cause bleeding form ruptured capillaries. I suggest using anti inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the inflammation. I also suggest using cold compresses for local application.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
